“The Right Material in the Right Place” – Emballator Participates in Ystad Summit Panel Discussion

On September 3rd, Emballator’s Innovation Manager Mats Jeppsson took part in a panel discussion organized by Polykemi during Ystad Summit – Sweden’s leading forum for cross-sector dialogue and societal development. The panel carried the theme “The Right Material in the Right Place” and focused on how material choices impact innovation, sustainability, and long-term development across various industries – including packaging, construction, and automotive.

 

Ystad Summit annually gathers over 4,000 participants from business, politics, academia, and civil society at the historic regiment grounds in Ystad. The event is known for its open format and strong emphasis on collaboration between different industries and sectors. This year’s main themes are preparedness, green transition, competence and growth, and social sustainability.

 

Mats Jeppsson highlighted the importance of choosing materials that are not only functional and cost-effective but also aligned with long-term environmental goals and customer needs. Drawing on his experience working with diverse material solutions within Emballator’s broad packaging offering, he contributed valuable insights to the discussion.

 

The panel was part of a full-day program hosted by Polykemi, where voices from the materials and manufacturing industries came together to discuss how we can make smarter and more sustainable choices in product development and packaging.
