Emballator strengthens its offering in food packaging

The ISO 22000 certification strengthens our offering, not only in the food segment, but also in other product segments where high demands are placed on the packaging, for example for health and body care products,” says Sales Manager Magnus Sandberg,
Emballator in Mellerud has long worked in accordance with the ISO 22000 standard for food safety. In the autumn of 2018, the decision was made to further strengthen the offering by certifying itself in accordance with the standard. And now it’s done.
“A successful certification is based on human attitudes and habits. The important thing is that the employees understand that it is not just about written routines and paragraphs – they really need to see the connection between the ISO systems and reality. As we are already certified in accordance with the ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 standards, that foundation was already in place when we entered the certification phase for ISO 22000 “, says Malin Norgren Svensson, quality and environmental coordinator at Emballator Melleruds Plast.
The certification audit is completed, and the certificate now hangs on the wall in the factory in Mellerud. Sales Manager Magnus Sandberg welcomes the certification as an important seal of quality.
“The demand for certified packaging’ is high and we are noticing increased awareness at several levels, not only among our customers but also among consumers. Packaging for petrol or engine oil has in many respects’ similar requirements as packaging for food or for that matter packaging for body care products. “ISO 22000 is an international standard and it feels very good to be able to offer our customers tailor-made and certified packaging solutions,” says Magnus Sandberg.
Emballator has a long tradition of offering the market with innovative and quality-assured packaging solutions. The fact that Emballator in Mellerud is now also certified in accordance with the ISO22000 standard strengthens the group’s total offer to the market.
