Emballator switches to green electricity
Posted 2020-12-03Emballator will switch to using 100% renewable electricity in Sweden.
This means that Emballator with production in several places in the country reduces its climate footprint through lower carbon dioxide emissions.
“Sweden’s Riksdag has decided that by 2040 all electricity production shall be 100 percent renewable, of course Herenco wants to be involved and contribute to this goal being met”, says Lovisa Hamrin, owner of the Herenco Group, which includes Emballator, in a comment.
“Our ambition is to create sustainable packaging solutions for future generations. Being able to offer our customers packaging made from 100% renewable electricity feels very good”, says Ulf Nicklasson, CEO of the Emballator Plastics & Innovations business area.
PacsOn, Hamhus, which is also part of the Herenco Group, and most of the wholly owned companies within Herenco Invest, are also affected by this positive news.
“This is a milestone that confirms our work to reduce the use of resources in our companies. We work focused on this issue; among other things by focusing on innovation and efficiency improvements”, concludes Thomas Bergdahl, CEO of Herenco AB.
