Emballator introduces the GS1 Standard for a secure and effective distribution
Posted 2021-02-16
Emballator in Växjö introduces barcodes on their pallets according to the GS1 Standard. The GS1 Standard works as a search engine that can easily track pallets and store relevant information about articles, trackability, and delivery. The main purpose of introducing the global barcode system is to create a secure and effective distribution that meets the customers´ requirements.
“It’s all about being one step ahead, which we have succeeded with here. More companies are choosing to change from a manual system to a digital system in order to secure the informational authenticity and to avoid the risks of human error”, says Veronica Ärnflykt, Financial Manager at Emballator Växjöplast.
The global barcode system is not only going to be beneficial for the customers but will also help the company internally. For example, the digital system will be useful during inventory and for internal transfers to save time and resources. Emballator views the new system as a natural step in the direction of business development and as an investment for the future.
“We are happy to say that we are close to the finish line. The number of customers that require this digital system is increasing and it will become a customer demand in the near future”, says Veronica.
Thanks to the introduction of the GS1 Standard at Emballator in Växjö, it’s also possible for other companies in Emballator to use the solution.
