Wide offer of recycled material from Emballator Mellerud

The demand of packaging in recycled materials is increasing among Emballators’ customers. From the company in Mellerud that produces cans and bottles the assortment of recycled material has grown during the last year.
Markus Porath, Product and Development Manager at Emballator Mellerud Plast, answers three questions about their offer.
What products are offered in recycled material?
“From bottles in 1L and up to cans in 20L. We are able to produce products that have from 25% to 100% recycled plastics.”
What does the recycled material consist of?
“It’s both PCR, Post-Consumer Recycled, and PIR, Post Industrial Recycling. So, it’s both plastics from households in Sweden and Europe and plastics from different industries.”
Is it possible to use recycled material in all product segments?
“No, right now the recycled plastics is not approved for food or dangerous goods. But there’s a lot of other segments that is possible to shift to recycled materials.”
