Posted 2021-04-20Emballator Lagan Plast has together with the education concept Maker tour – “Mot nya höjder” made sure that Hamnedaskolan now has a bicycle school bench. Six school classes in Kronobergs county have received a bicycle school bench and the investment is a part of the concept that works to increase the interest in science, technology and mathematics.
“Education and increased interest in learning are extremely important to us. Being able to participate and contribute in this way feels obvious and fun. We hope that we will be able to contribute in more ways in the future”, says Håkan Larsson, CEO Emballator Lagan Plast.
When the school benches are in place the school classes will compete against each other. The competition called “Tour de Kronoberg – Every move counts” runs during spring and in the autumn the plan is that Hamnedaskolan will challenge Emballator in Ljungby in an similar competition.
“I really hope that we will have the opportunity to have a bicycle bench here at Emballator. It would be very interesting to see how it can affect our work but also see if we manage to cycle as far as the students”, says Marcus Wahlgren, Continuous Improvement Coordinator at Emballator Lagan Plast.
Maker tour – Mot nya höjder favour pshycial activity in the classrooms to increase learning and is driven of Region Kronoberg, the Technical museum and Linnaeus University.
