Improved production thanks to automation project at Emballator Växjöplast
Posted 2021-05-11Emballator Växjöplast produces more than 600 million products every year. By automating large parts of the production flow, Emballator in Växjö has developed to be one of the most modern factories in Northern Europe for caps and closures.
The injection moulding process of producing caps and closures has gone from being manual in many steps to a fully automated production. From granules to finished cap, on pallet in warehouse.
The advantages are many – two of them are digitalization of the complete flow and improved work-environment for employees. Everything is controlled and steered by the business system, all digital.
“We realized that we had a lot of things in production that was not working in a good way. It was crowded at the premises; we had ergonomic issues and it was hard keeping the production cleaned. Now everything except the quality control is automated. We have improved our standard thanks to a higher quality check and increased delivery security”, explains Jens Petersson, Sales and Marketing Manager at Emballator Växjöplast.
