Emballator Växjö – an innovative 75-year-old
Posted 2021-07-09For Emballator Växjöplast it’s always been about the cap and closure. When the company was founded in 1946 Emballator in Växjö had a manual tool for production of caps. That’s history now – a quite good one, here are some highlights of the Växjö history.
1960 – The first machine for production of caps is bought from Germany. This means that the business is more focused on caps production.
1975 – The first fliptop cap was produced.
1980 – The company moves to new facilities in Växjö with 5 500 square meters.
1990 – The company invests in the pharmaceutical industry and a modern clean room is built.
1994 – Certified according to ISO 9001.
1999 – The first cap with mounted shell is produced.
2005 – First production with 2K-technology.
2014 – The lean journey begins, and the aim is to create even greater customer value by further strengthening quality and a continuous quest to reduce losses in the processes.
2015 – Emballator Växjöplast starts up VMI together with clients.
2016 – EVP Academy is launched as a new skills-enhancement concept in the industry.
2018 – The company launched a series of flip-top closures in PCR (Post Consumer Recycled) PP. The new closure reduces the carbon emissions with around 50%.
2019 – A large investment is made in making the production fully automated. The new production improved both digitalization and work-environment.
2020 – The company switch to green electricity.
2021 – Emballator in Växjö turns 75 years and continues to be a strong player in the caps and closure industry.
