Emballator searches for students for a sustainability project
Posted 2021-11-30Do you want to contribute to a more sustainable industry?
Emballator Metal Group in Ulricehamn, Sweden, are looking for students to investigate how the company can decrease metal waste.
For Emballator Metal Group sustainability is in focus in many ways, for example by updating and optimizing products and using less raw material. All metal waste from production is sold to recycling, but the company believes this can be reduced.
“We have about 20% tin plate scrap, some which is inevitable, but we can decrease the waste. We want to map the whole way from tin plate being delivered to us, to production and deliveries to our customers. We want to understand where the potential for improvement is”, says Ulrica Emanuelsson, Quality & Environmental Manager at Emballator Metal Group in Ulricehamn.
Emballator Metal Group are looking for students that are planning on doing their final thesis. The students can be studying within engineering, logistics or other subjects.
“It’s a wide subject and we think the most important part is that the student or students are interested in the subject. If we are using less tin plate, we will also decrease our environmental impact and carbon footprint. This is an important sustainability project in the industry.”
