Emballator Mellerud increases their range of products in recycled material
Posted 2022-04-26The demand for packaging based on recycled plastic is steadily increasing. That’s why Emballator Mellerud is continuously expanding its range and building knowledge about new materials.
Packaging that is, wholly or partly, made of recycled plastic have become very popular. The explanation is of course the market’s increased focus on sustainability.
”In some markets you actually are expected to include recycled material in some packaging, otherwise you are facing extra taxes”, says Jan Andersson, Sales representative at Emballator Mellerud.
Emballator Mellerud can today offer their complete range of products from 25 milliliters up to 25 litre cans in biobased or with recycled material.
“There are still regulations that limits us from offering UN-approved packaging, food packaging and pharmaceutical packaging in recycled material”, says Jan Andersson.
By changing to recycled material in a packaging a reduction of carbon footprint is made, which of course is good for the environment. Products from Emballator Mellerud are produced in mono material which makes them 100% recyclable and by that the loop is closed.
“That means that we can produce new jerry cans and bottles from the products that are being recycled. We also have an important role to inform about the material’s properties. We are happy to guide our customers to recycled material for their perfect packaging solution.”
