Emballator Ulricehamn going for EcoVadis Gold

The best way to create results? Raise the bar… Emballator in Ulricehamn has decided to go for a new ambitious sustainability goal: 

”Our customers really appreciate us for working with EcoVadis, so now we are aiming for gold”, says Ulrica Emanuelsson, Quality & Environmental Manager at Emballator Metal Group in Ulricehamn.

“Our customers have expressed that they wish to compare different suppliers. And when it comes to sustainability, the issue is complex. Sustainability is not just about the environment, it also relates to many other issues,” muses Ulrica Emanuelsson.

Therefore Emballator in Ulricehamn has chosen to work together with EcoVadis in the development and assessment of the company’s sustainability work.

“EcoVadis is a sustainability survey for companies covering 75,000 companies in 200 industries in 160 countries. It is a well-known player who assesses our work regarding environment, ethics, human rights and sustainable purchasing.”

Emballators work in 2020 resulted in a bronze certificate, 2021 in a silver certificate and now Emballator in Ulricehamn is aiming for gold.

“At our latest assessment, we experienced that we have a gold certificate within our reach. We need to rise a few notches though, and therefore we run several projects within environment and energy. We will also continue to work with the implementation of our common code of conduct, to develop our workplace environment and to run sustainability projects in collaboration with our suppliers.”

Simultaneously, LCA analyzes will also be performed together with an external partner.

“We want to find the baseline for our climate footprint. The aim is, of course, to identify more opportunities to reduce our impact, in order to communicate our progress to customers and other stakeholders. ”
