Possibilities at Emballator Innovation Center – Leading the innovation
Posted 2022-09-06What are the possibilities at Emballator Innovation Center? Mats Jeppsson, Innovation Manager, talks about innovation management.
What is innovation for Emballator?
“Innovation is an important part of our values in the Green bag. Without innovation we would stand still!
Our definition of innovation is an implemented idea that creates value. So, the innovation should create value for the society we operate in or for our customers or other stakeholders.”
How does Emballator Innovation Center work with innovation management?
“With our Innovation Center we at Emballator really have the opportunity to work with innovation in the ”right” way.
My team can work in a completely different way from the perspective of what a material, a process or a design could work for rather than starting from a desired position with a given specification.
We want to develop what the customer did not know they needed. Another important part is to support the innovative work climate with freedom, creativity, time to test own ideas, questioning, and openness.”
Innovation is more than just new products, which other areas are Emballator focusing on?
“”Time-to-market” is an important part for the Innovation Center. Being able to quickly translate design ideas into practice through e.g., 3D printing.
To be a possible partner for e.g., startup companies, universities, and business consortia is important as it is through collaboration that we can achieve the greatest impact with sustainable solutions.
Customer engagement can be created through digitalization. By building up both practical and theoretical knowledge, the goal for Emballator is to strengthen our brand.
You should turn to us for the facts needed in order to provide packaging solutions for future generations.”
