Emballator participates at the fair stage at Scanpack

During the Scanpack fair 2022 Emballator participates in three activities on the stage. In all three the company is represented by Mats Jeppsson, Innovation Manager at Emballator Innovation Center.

On the first day of the fair Mats is leading a seminar about the way towards sustainable packaging for Emballator.

”It feels exciting and fun to be able to talk about our studies and reflections when it comes to recyclability, recycled material, and biobased material for thin-walled packaging. For us at Emballator, innovation goes together with sustainability”, says Mats Jeppsson.

On Wednesday, Mats is participating in a stage seminar arranged by Nordisk bioplastförening. There the focus will be the tests of biobased material as lignin, PLA, bio-PP, and coffee compound that Emballator Innovation Center has made.

”At Emballator Innovation Center we evaluate new material solutions and solutions for existing applications. For example, the company has access to process equipment for injection moulding, blow moulding, and extrusion and measuring equipment for thermal and mechanical tests. This enables material tests of renewable materials with really short lead times.”

In a panel discussion about “The packaging of tomorrow – what will they look like?” on Thursday, Mats Jeppsson is a part of the panel.

“It will be very interesting to mediate our thoughts but also to listen to the other participants. I hope that we will have a good discussion that will highlight the importance of sustainability in future packaging”, says Mats.
