Emballator appoints new Head of Marketing and Sales Excellence

With a strong focus on sustainability and innovation Emballator will become a significantly larger and more international packaging group. Kent Viitanen, starting his role in January 2023, will lead the company’s growth and now next important piece is added – Maria Backlund is recruited as Head of Marketing and Sales Excellence.
Maria Backlund is an experienced sales and marketing professional with a long and successful career in Parker Hannifin. She has a Bachelor of Science in Innovation Engineering at Halmstad University and is currently Group Sales Leader/Sales Manager of the Nordic Sales company of Parker Hannifin.
In the new role at Emballator she will work closely with all Emballator companies, improve branding, marketing activities and sales performance across the group. Maria will be a part of the new Emballator HQ in Ulricehamn and starts in January 2023.

Her career at Parker Hannifin has equipped her with a great sales and marketing toolbox and she is used to operating in a high-performing, international group servicing large B2B customers”, says Anders Davidsson, acting CEO Emballator, Chairman of the Emballator Board and CEO of Herenco Holding.
Previously, Maria has also held positions as product specialist, sales support leader and marketing manager within Parker Hannifin. Prior to joining Parker Hannifin in 2002, she worked for Teleflex Automotive (today CJ Automotive) as development engineer and sales engineer.
