More renewable energy to the group

As part of the Herenco Group, we at Emballator are proud to announce that in the near future, we will be involved in the commissioning of one of northern Sweden’s largest solar power parks. This impressive solar power park will be commissioned in Björke, near Gävle, and is expected to generate approximately 7 GWh of electricity annually, equivalent to the electricity consumption of around 1,400 households. The solar power park represents a significant milestone, accounting for more than 10 percent of the Herenco Group’s total electricity consumption. 

This investment in solar energy is a central part of Herenco’s ambitious strategy to reduce environmental impact and promote sustainability within the corporate group, something that we at Emballator take a lot of pride in.  

The newly constructed solar power park is located in an area that was previously used as a gravel quarry, meaning that the land is not being repurposed for other uses, such as agriculture. The establishment of the solar power park has therefore not had any negative impact on the area’s biodiversity, which is often a concern with new developments. 

At Emballator, we look forward to the upcoming commissioning of the solar power park and remain committed to contributing to a more sustainable and environmentally friendly future.
