Interview with our trainee Nellie
Posted 2023-11-07Nellie Ton, who is studying International Management at Jönköping University, has been interning with us at Emballator in Ulricehamn this autumn and has been a fantastic asset to our team during this time. We wanted to hear about her internship experience, the insights she has gained, and what she will carry with her moving forward.
When we asked Nellie to summarize her internship experience with us, she immediately highlighted the welcoming atmosphere and positive corporate culture.
“I’ve had a great internship period and have learned a lot. What I will especially take with me and look back on are the new relationships that I have built during my time at Emballator. I have felt welcome and included from day one, and I can truly say that the commute has been worth it, even though it has taken me about four hours in total each day. It feels like everyone here knows what it’s like to be new at work, so it hasn’t been difficult to ask those ‘silly’ questions that you wonder whether you should ask or not. It has actually felt like everyone has thought of it as a good thing,” says Nellie.
She also mentions that Emballator consistently works with sustainability, something she noticed early on in her internship and finds very important.
“I think it’s been a really enjoyable time to intern at a company like Emballator, where sustainability is included in everything you do. I believe it’s crucial that it is an integrated part of the business in the future, to continue to be a given choice with both customers and employees “.
During her internship, Nellie has worked extensively with various types of analyses, something she personally finds both developing and enjoyable.
“I’ve really discovered how much fun it is to work with various forms of analysis. It’s exciting to work with data, compare components, and do research to see how a larger picture emerges and provides clarity in something. Having had the chance to work on these aspects in a real project, I’ve learned a lot, and I definitely think I’ll work with analysis in some form in the future when I complete my education.”
When we asked Nellie what she would say to others considering doing their internship with us, her response is positive and encouraging:
“I would definitely recommend interning at Emballator. I think everyone has been helpful and supportive. My tasks have been fun and good for my personal growth. I truly feel like the things I’ve done has been put to good use in the right way.”
And we can’t help but agree. Thank you, Nellie, and good luck with your continued studies!
