Visit by Hagaviksskolan Students to Emballator in Växjö
Posted 2025-01-20Emballator had the pleasure of welcoming students from Hagaviksskolan to their facility in Växjö. The visit is part of Växjö municipality’s SKAL collaboration, which aims to increase awareness of the exciting job opportunities within the manufacturing industry in the municipality.
The students, who are in 8th grade and have chosen a focus on Nature and Technology (NoT), gained insight into Emballator’s operations during their visit. The interest in technology was very evident, and many questions were asked, including about which plastic raw materials were used for specific products. The students were given three tasks to work on at school, in the areas of Sales, Development, and Production Planning. In group projects, they are to come up with various proposals within their area. This could involve making commercials or developing a future product to be delivered in interesting presentations.
“It is fantastic to see the students’ engagement and curiosity. There was a clear interest in knowing what it is like to work in different roles at Emballator, and many asked about summer jobs. We hope this initiative inspires more young people to explore career opportunities within our industry,” says Helena, a representative from Emballator.
In December, Emballator visited Hagaviksskolan again to take part in the students’ presentations of their tasks. The collaboration will continue into the spring, when Emballator plans to present various professional roles within the company and give the students tips on how to write their first CV for upcoming summer jobs.
Emballator looks forward to continuing this rewarding collaboration and contributing to increasing interest in the manufacturing industry among young people in Växjö.
