Maria – a sustainability leader making a difference

Maria Edqvist Schultz is the Head of Sustainability for the Emballator Group, where she plays a crucial role in supporting the companies with sustainability issues. Her work involves planning ahead, monitoring the current status, and acting as an expert and advisor in sustainability matters, both internally and towards customers and suppliers.

 

With a background as a chemical and environmental engineer and many years of experience in the automotive industry, Maria has extensive knowledge in quality and environmental issues. She is skilled at coordinating, loves working with people, and has a passion for continuously learning new things.

 

No day is the same for Maria. She keeps herself updated on new laws and regulations, participates in customer meetings as a sustainability expert, and works on standard development for circular materials. Currently, much of her focus is on the sustainability report.

 

“I often help customers understand new legislation that affects them and how their packaging looks now and in the future. I can also help find the best packaging from an environmental and climate perspective by working together to understand what is best for the full life cycle.”

Her work ensures that the company not only complies with the latest sustainability standards but also that customers are satisfied and well-informed about the best solutions for their needs.
