Mikael Svensson, the production leader in the can department in Ulricehamn, is an inspiring force at Emballator. His journey from operator to production leader is a testament to his commitment and ability to grow within the company.

As a production leader, Mikael is responsible for leading and distributing work within the team, focusing on maintaining and improving the work environment. He is leading the staff and strives for high efficiency in the department. Mikael emphasizes the importance of developing staff through individual conversations and improvement work to ensure goals are met. His role is crucial for Emballator to deliver the right quality at the right time to its customers.

 

“The most enjoyable part of my job is being able to develop and grow within the company and to work with great colleagues,” says Mikael.

 

Mikael’s career at Emballator began at the age of 23 when he was hired as an operator. After a few years, he became a coordinator, which gave him a deeper understanding of the business. This experience led to a role as a team leader and later to his current position as production leader, where he leads a team of about 40 employees.

One achievement Mikael is particularly proud of is the transition from manual handling of packing to an automated system, which improved both the work environment and productivity.

Mikael constantly strives to develop in his leadership and sees the importance of understanding and promoting the human factor in a production environment. His goal is to create a safe and engaged work environment and to continue growing in HR and production leading.

For those who want to work as a production leader, Mikael advises focusing on communication, developing leadership skills, and being solution oriented. He also emphasizes the importance of being open to improvement and change.

Mikael grew up in Blidsberg, a community about 20 kilometers outside Ulricehamn. At the age of 17, he moved to Ulricehamn, where he now lives in a house with his wife and their two children. In high school, he attended the industrial program, which led to work in the plastics industry before he started at Emballator.

Mikael’s main interests include spending time with family and friends, as well as his great interest in music. He plays the guitar and is a guitarist in a cover band. He also likes to be active and always has a project going on with the house.

One dream Mikael has is to get a summer house on Öland or the west coast, places he really enjoys.
