Meet Jhonny – Print Expert with a Passion for Color, Design, and Flexibility

At Emballator Tectubes, Jhonny and his colleague Roger ensure that our tubes have the right color, the right shade, and the right text – in the right place. With a sharp eye for detail and solid experience from production, he’s a key player in our artwork department.

But describing a “typical workday” for Jhonny isn’t easy – because there are no typical days. Planning is important, of course, but flexibility is crucial. Urgent matters arise, and it’s essential to have room in the schedule. It’s precisely this variety that makes the job so enjoyable, says Jhonny. He gets to be involved in many different areas, maintain close contact with customers, and collaborate closely with production – a combination he truly enjoys.

Jhonny began his journey at Emballator back in 1988, after five years as a furniture maker in Tibro. What was supposed to be a few months turned into an entire career. After 15 years as a production operator, he transitioned into his current role, where his background has proven invaluable. He also helped build the artwork department from the ground up – a project he’s particularly proud of.

Another memorable project was the Kavli project, where he and the production team managed to launch a new printing line, despite flexographic printing being new to them. “We were pretty green, but we still made it – and I’m proud of that,” says Jhonny.

Continuous learning is a given for him. He enjoys pushing boundaries and testing unconventional printing solutions – even if they don’t always succeed, they’re always educational. Personal commitment is a value he holds dear, and he believes it’s essential for a company’s success.

The collaboration at Emballator is something he truly appreciates. “If I ask someone for help, it’s never a problem – whether it’s in administration or production,” he says.

He views the future with both confidence and realism. The need for tubes remains, but changing market demands require flexible and efficient production.

Outside of work, Jhonny is a sports enthusiast – even if it’s mostly from the comfort of the couch. He’s also involved in IFK Hjo, where he’s responsible for Guldkroksvallen. Cooking is a big interest, though he jokingly admits that the combination of couch lounging and a love for food isn’t always the most successful.

With a strong sense of social issues and a genuine interest in the world around him, Jhonny is much more than his role at Emballator. He’s someone who’s passionate about his work, his commitment, and about constantly growing – both professionally and personally.
