Business areas
We manufacture one of the widest product ranges on the market, including metal and plastic packaging from 375ml to 25l, to the toughest safety and quality standards.
Paint & Adhesives
The paint industry is our core market. We have a strong position in this sector and well-proven solutions serving both paint manufacturers and end-users with user-friendly, practical cans and ‘paintainers’ in both metal and plastic. Our shakeable and leak-proof cans also make it easy for retailers to tint and mix paint to desired colours.
Chemical
We offer metal and plastic containers of all sizes for chemical packaging to meet customer demands for safe packaging of cleaning agents, as well as a variety of raw chemicals. We meet all key UN certification requirements.
Automotive
We supply secure metal and plastic packaging for products like car wax, degreasing liquids, body filler and car paint. A speciality within the automotive industry is deep-drawn lids, which we also manufacture for our customers in this sector.
Yacht & Marine
Most of our products for the marine industry consist of UN-certified packaging for anticorrosive paint and other hazardous products that require a high level of safety during transit.
Food
For the food industry, we supply both metal and plastic cans and pails from 375ml to 25l for products like mayonnaise and cooking oil. Our customers in this sector are primarily wholesalers, restaurants and large catering companies and we work towards BRC standard.
Trade printing for caps and tins
In addition to packaging production, we also offer trade printing services which involves printing sheet tinplate, which our customers then use to manufacture tins, caps for bottles or tubes and other branded elements. Our trade printing customers include food and beverage companies.
From standard to customised products
With innovative solutions that go beyond industry standards, we meet the increasing demands of both our customers and end-users. In addition to our extensive portfolio of standard products, we can also customise solutions for specific needs. And we are also the only company with one single production facility for both metal and plastic packaging. This allows customers to source most of their packaging from one supplier, allowing for convenient and cost-efficient shipping and billing.
A flexible range of metal cans
Whatever your product needs, we’ve got you covered. Our metal product line ranges from 375ml to 25l with an array of lids and handles. And if our standard range doesn’t meet your needs, our R&D team is ready to help with customised solutions.
Tough, safe and sustainable
For chemicals, hazardous or flammable products, metal is the obvious choice. It’s also the best material when you need packaging that’s hygienic and durable to protect and preserve the contents. What is perhaps less known is that metal is also a great choice for the environment, as it’s 100% recyclable without loss of quality.
UN-certified
Emballator holds numerous UN certificates for hazardous goods to ensure your products withstand both sample checks and, in the worst case, an accident during transit. These certificates require our products to undergo the most rigorous tests like leak testing, drop testing, stacking tests and fire resistance testing. Our products can also handle a variety of demanding situations for which there is no official certification.
Plastic containers for multiple uses
Plastic has many advantages as a material for cans and pails as it’s light, flexible, mouldable and increasingly recyclable. We use injection-moulded polymer in our manufacturing to make high-quality containers primarily for the paint and food industries.
A variety of sizes and printing options
Since we started producing plastic packaging in 2013, our product range has grown from 2.5 and 5 litre ‘paintainers’ to also include 7.5 and 10 litre pails. 2.5l and 5l containers are available with either printed or wrap-around labels. The large 7.5l and 10l sizes are available with printed or IML labels (in-mould labelling) and either a plastic or metal handle.
Cutting-edge use of recycled plastic
In 2015, we started using PCW (post-consumer waste) plastic and since then we have rapidly increased our use of recycled plastic. We currently offer containers made from 25% to 100% recycled plastic, and we are working on further increasing the total proportion. Customers can choose the percentage of recycled plastic primarily for our larger cans (7.5 and 10l), depending on the product performance required. Find out more here.
