Posted 2025-11-13
On November 20 at 1:00-2:00 PM, our Head of Sustainability, Maria Edqvist Schultz, will join a panel of industry experts at the webinar “How will the packaging industry become circular?”, organized by the National Center for Sustainable Plastics, part of RISE Research Institutes of Sweden.
The seminar will explore how the packaging industry is adapting to the upcoming EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), which introduces new requirements for recyclability, recycled content, and reuse. Maria will share insights from Emballator’s sustainability journey and how we are preparing for regulation’s implementation.
The discussion will dive into practical solutions for circular packaging, including:
- How design and material choices affect recyclability
- Business and technical challenges across different packaging types
- Strategies to secure high-quality recycled plastics
- Lessons from other industries like automotive and construction
