Meet Mikael Furunäs – KAM at Emballator in Lagan

In a world where relationships and customer satisfaction are everything, we at Emballator are lucky to have Mikael Furunäs as our Key Account Manager. With his background in the plastic industry and a passion for building long-term customer relationships, Mikael is a key member of our team.

Mikael describes his workday as a great mix of communication and relationships. A week in the office involves lots of emails, quotes, phone calls, and Teams meetings, both with colleagues and customers. Every other week, Mikael goes out to meet customers, mixing with both new and existing contacts. Since joining Emballator, Mikael has quickly learned to navigate a dynamic work environment.

“I jumped straight into the action and worked on real customer cases from day one. It was a great learning experience. I shared about myself and how we work at Emballator, which helped customers to trust us. This led to more inquiries and orders!”

This is an achievement he is particularly proud of, reconnecting with customers who felt overlooked.

Mikael is also deeply committed to Emballator’s values, especially personal engagement, which he believes is essential for doing a good job. When we talk about the future at Emballator, he is clear:

“I really enjoy my work and look forward to staying here for a long time. My philosophy is to be attentive and thorough in everything I do.”

Outside of work, Mikael is a dedicated parent with his wife, four children, a stepson, and two cats. “We live in a house in Ljungby, and my hobbies include exercising and spending time with family and friends. I am also active as a coach in football and floorball,” he shares. His passion for sports and community truly shines through in his life. When it comes to hidden talents, Mikael surprises us with a fun detail: “I can play Gubben Noak on the piano!” He is not just a business-minded person but also a creative soul.
