Pontus is one of the key individuals who keeps production running smoothly at Emballator’s can department in Ulricehamn. In his role as a flow technician, he is part of the technical core, responsible for ensuring high quality, driving improvements, and supporting his colleagues in their daily work.
Pontus explains that a typical workday is anything but predictable. It can vary from being hands-on in production, actively supporting and resolving any technical challenges, to working in the office on developing improvements and managing deviations.
“Being a flow technician at Emballator means that I am part of the technical backbone of the can department. I am responsible for ensuring that production runs smoothly and that the quality is maintained at the highest level,” says Pontus.
Pontus has made an impressive internal journey at Emballator, starting as a summer worker, working night shifts for five years, to now holding the role of Flow Technician. His passion for technology and desire to make a difference have been the driving force behind his successes.
One of Pontus’ greatest achievements is the development of a module for improvement work integrated with the company’s deviation system. Previously paper-based processes have been replaced with an efficient digital tool, increasing structure, and improving communication within the department.
“I truly love the variety in my work. Being a flow technician means that no day is like the other, and that’s what’s so exciting. I love being part of constant improvements and seeing concrete results of one’s efforts,” Pontus says.
Pontus is not only a driven professional but also a person with many interests outside the workplace. He describes himself as a “regular guy” who enjoys exploring both food and wine with his girlfriend. For the future, he dreams of one day building his own house. Music is a big part of his life, where he prefers the slightly harder style, and he has a fondness and an unexpected talent for experimenting with different dialects and languages.
Pontus’ closing advice to those who want to follow in his footsteps is not to be afraid to ask for help and to realize the value of working together as a team to achieve common goals.
