Meet Magnus Gåård, Machine Operator at Emballator
Posted 2024-08-12Magnus is one of the most seasoned professionals in Emballator’s production operations. With 22 years at the company, he has witnessed changes and developments that few others have. As a machine operator, he has not only mastered the technical aspects of his work but has also become a key figure in implementing improvements and changes in the production process.
Every workday for Magnus begins with a shift handover where he takes over responsibility from the night shift and sets the tone for the day. As an experienced machine operator and project participant in the packaging center group, he is involved in everything from assembly to automated packaging and continuous improvements.
“What I like most about my job is the varied workday and the social context. Having good colleagues whom I get along with is important to me,” says Magnus.
During his years at Emballator, Magnus has seen his role evolve and the company change. From starting as an operator with simpler tasks, he has now become a key person with increased responsibilities and competence requirements. He has been part of major projects, such as the extensive automation project in 2019-2020. Now, he looks forward to taking responsibility for implementing a completely new machine in the assembly department.
“Engagement and willingness are important qualities within my professional role. It’s not just about technical competence but also about being positive and flexible. For me, the most rewarding aspect of working at Emballator is the exciting future with all the new investments and projects. Being able to contribute to the development is very satisfying,” says Magnus.
Privately, Magnus is a simple person. He takes each day as it comes, lives in the moment, and appreciates life’s simple pleasures. He lives close to work and likes to spend his free time cooking and playing video games. Magnus’s focus is on making the most of each day, both at work and outside of it.
